We've added over 2.2 million new articles to our British Newspaper Collection over the last month.
The updates include the addition of 11 new titles from around the UK including publications from the cities of Glasgow, Leicester and Sheffield.
As well as the addition of the new titles, existing ones have also been augmented with articles, giving better date coverage. These include substantial updates to Leighton Buzzard Observer and Linslade Gazette, Newcastle Journal and Birmingham Daily Gazette.
This brings the archive of historical newspapers to 338 different local, regional and national titles and over 124 million searchable articles.
The British Newspaper Collection on Findmypast is a treasure trove for family and social historians alike. You can find out what was happening in your local area hundreds of years ago as well as discovering if any of your family were the ones making headlines.
The collection dates from 1710-1955, covering 245 years of British history.
